When Sneha Rajani called Siddhartha Basu lovingly "Babu" at the KBC launch

Sneha Rajani and Siddhartha Basu

There are people in the industry who you are intimidated by their strong personality and strata in their work. And then there are some who have the liberty to call them by a pet name, making you feel completely zapped but impressed by their bond.

Well, all this philosophy pierced into our minds at the recent launch of Sony Entertainment Television’s super exciting game show, Kaun Banega Crorepati season 7.

Well, at the press conference the EVP and Business Head of Sony TV, Sneha Rajani presided over with the details of the change in formats and new elements added, and then she called up ‘Babu’ to further brief the media on the show.

Babu!!?? We were almost lost wondering who Babu could be, since a child is usually addressed as Babu in Indian society.

And as we stood up to get our view cleared of ‘Babu’ coming forward on the stage, we were surprised when the stylish looking tall man, known for his intelligence and creative mind stoop up.

Our mouth gaped in surprised to see, the man behind the show, Siddhartha Basu walking up on the stage at ‘Babu’s’ call.

Well, as Bengalis fondly call their children babu, guess the name has stuck to this man, but it was really cute seeing Sneha call him by that name when he has surpassed the age and personality of being a ‘babu’.
