Colors’ Uttaran (FilmFarm Productions) is one show that is flooded with talented actors. However, we still could not ignore the absence of Pragati Mehra better known as Divya Jyoti Thakur from the scenes. The actress hasn’t been seen on the show for almost a month now. Does this mean she has quit? Well the answer is a big ‘no’. The actual story is this: “The story goes back in time a bit. Pragati wanted leave (holiday) for a couple of days and she informed the creatives about the same. But they wanted her to stay back as Meethi’s wedding sequence was being shot back then. However, Pragati decided on taking leaves.” But, the actual issue came in the picture when the actress got back from her break. “Pragati was asked to apologize for taking leaves,” added the source. Yes, the creative person (we are yet to get info if he or she is from the channel or production’s side) asked her to apologize for her act. This definitely came as a shock to the actress as other actors on the show are never asked for an apology letter on taking leaves. So did the actress apologize? The answer is “no”, she did not as she did not find it fair on her part. But then it backfired on her and she was asked to stay out of the shoot. Have things settled yet? As far as we have learnt the creative team and the actress are still trying to work on the issue. When we contacted Pragati she simply refused to comment. However, Producer of the show Rupali Guha said, “The creative team has no issues with Pragati. It’s just that there isn’t much for her in the ongoing track. She will be back once her track starts.” Looks like a huge ego clash here… We just hope they all kiss and make-up (not literally, but you got the point).
