Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai to complete 5 years; set to take a leap

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai
Take a bow team Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Produced by Rajan Shahi’s Director’s Kut and beaming on Star Plus, the show is all set to complete 5 years of airing this Sunday, 12 January 2014, which is a commendable achievement given the fact that shows get pulled off air within months of getting launched nowadays. So, what are their plans of celebration? “Hina Khan (aka Akshara) is throwing a party this time as it was her desire to do so, for a very long time. She has been our protégé, a child of the company and today when she takes this call I feel a deep sense of gratitude. She has invited everyone from the actors to the accountants and rest of the office staff. In fact, some of the people on her guest list are the ones we would not even remotely plan to invite but, she made it a point to make it special for one and all. And I am extremely touched by this gesture. I am just a part of the entire plan,” says Producer Rajan Shahi. He adds, “The credit of the success of Yeh Rishta … goes to the unit, technicians and the creatives on the show as my work on the show got over the day they took the responsibility upon themselves. My input on this show has been negligible therefore I take no credit for the success of these five years. It completely goes to the team and the channel. I am very happy and proud that I have such committed people in my team.” We also tried contacting Hina Khan and Karan Mehra but they remained unavailable for comment. Now coming to the track of the show, the plot is all set to take a two year leap. The show aired a tragic track wherein Naitik’s (Karan Mehra) mother Gayatri (Sonali Verma) met with an accident while trying to save her grandson, and died. The show will now move on to happy days again. We wish the team of Yeh Rishta… a lot of success and happiness.
