Zee rubs 'Aladdin's lamp

Adding an all-new dimension of fantasy to its popular weekend primetime slot, Zee TV is proud to announce the launch of an exciting new series <em> Aladdin</em> starting from November 16 at 9:30 pm. The show will bring alive on the small screen, the popular story of <em> Aladdin</em> that we have all grown up on. The show will bring alive on the small screen, the popular story of Aladdin that we have all grown up on. Narrating a folk tale like never before, the show boasts of amazing special effects that are bound to strike an instant connect with children across the country. The show tells the tale of 15-year-old Aladdin who loses his parents under a cloud of mystery when he is young. The show follows him on his journey through a maze of curious developments in his life as he stumbles upon the magic lamp, crosses swords with the villainous Jaffer, manipulates the jolly Djinn to his advantage and falls in love with Princess Jasmine. The show produced by Applause Entertainment has a fresh, young and vibrant cast comprising Mandar who essays the title role, Nazea Hasan as Princess Jasmine and Ranvijay Razdan of Kasam Se and Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai fame who plays the evil Jafer. To catch young Aladdin as he woos the lovely Princess Jasmine and combats the evil moves of Jaffer, tune into Zee TV at 9:30 pm, Friday to Sunday.
