Mihir
Misra is not a happy man. His tenure as Dr Rahul in the three year
old Sanjivani-A Medical Boon will draw to a close in January
when the serial winds up. But doesn't the end of Sanjivani
spell relief for him, particularly when the cold vibes between Mihir
and Gurdip (Dr Juhi) were all too apparent to everyone on the sets?
"Gurdeep Kohli and I don't talk to each other and maintain
a professional distance. A pattern has been set since the beginning.
But there are no hard feelings between us," he maintains staunchly.
How
about life after 'Sanjivani'?
"Well, there's Zee's Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na in which I
play Aditya Ramchandran, a guy who likes to believe that every girl
he meets could be his ideal woman," says Mihir. Who's closer
to his persona, Rahul or Aditya? "Hmmm, I am closer to Aditya
than to the intense Rahul, I guess," is the answer.
Son
of an air force pilot who once harbored similar ambitions and went
on to study hotel management and business administration, Mihir
was once known as the guy who turned down the role of Abhimanyu
in Zee's Astitva - Ek Prem Kahani, a role taken up later
by Varun Badola.
"Yes," he sighs, "It was no doubt a good role but
then, you win some, you lose some. There is space and work for everyone
in the entertainment industry," he shrugs.
And
isn't his short height a problem in a world of impressive statures
and striking physiques?
"I cannot change it. I am comfortable with the reality. At
the most, I will have to wear high soles if my heroine is taller
than me!" he quips.
Ask
about his passions and instead of the familiar name of ex-Sanjivani
colleague Shilpa Kadam, Mihir dwells on his fervor for electronic
gadgets, his fondness for his modified Palio 1.6 and his affection
for his pet dog Snoopy, who Mihir says is like his own son! Probe
about Shilpa Kadam and all one gets is, "I would just say I
am very much single and don't want to comment on my personal life
or any other person." Touche.
