No Ekta: Jaya & Resham
Ekta Kapoor is frantically looking for someone to play Meenakshi- the torrid past of Vikram Kapadia, Mukul Dev and Riitu Raaj- in her latest thriller K.Street, Pali Hill which has rolled quite well so far. Jaya Bhattacharya and Resham Sheth have refused the role. Reason? They don't want to play 50 plus! Any takers?

Mouli preggy!
The inevitable is going to happen. He had a roller-coaster ride with Mahek and impregnated her in a jiffy. He lived-in with Mouli but the girl evaded the pregnancy for quite some time. Not anymore! Soon, you'll see Preeti Puri (aka Mouli) preggy with Rishi's (Shabbir Ahluwalia) child! There'll be no miscarriage. And who will marry her? Surely not the naughty boy, err, the Casanova Rishi who married Sanjana recently. We hear, Mouli will not have a man in her life. She has become a pop singer and, therefore, financially independent now. Women's lib eh? For Preeti's fans, you can see her on big screen as well. Watch out for Mukta Arts' Aitraaz. Suhasini out, Smita in
We wonder how things can be so claustrophobic in a show which is not going great guns. Suhasini Mulay gave a month-in-advance notice that she wanted four days off from Zee's Piya Ka Ghar. Reply? Impossible! "But why not? You do that for other artistes, don't you?" asked the spunky actress. Reply? None!! Visibly fed up, Mulay packed up her bags. Guess who's smiling at Mulay's discomfiture? The replacement, Smita Jaykar.

Down 'K.Street'
Ssshhhh! Jasvir Kaur is pretending to be an architect who has come to reconstruct the outhouse in K.Street. She knows that she is a rape product, but unaware about her father's identity. The girl is on a mission. In league with Jhanvi (Preeti Puri) she wants to find out who did it- Vikram/Mukul/Riitu? Soon, their families will disintegrate, yet the trio will stand by each other, not admitting to their misadventure, sorry, crime. We doubt if Ekta has decided on who turned savage that night. You know how Indian television functions. Any guesses?

Gurdip is 'Nirma' girl
We hear, the petite and beautiful Gurdip Kohli has bagged the Nirma commercial, which requires her to shoot in Italy. There would be a few other girls in the ad as well, but each one of them would be shot at different places. Meanwhile, Sanjivani- A Medical Boon has stopped happening. The latest is that it may not go beyond December. Then? Kohli may be taking up a new show on Star Plus. Where else??
