Jodi
No.1 in Pak serial?
Hot
from the oven! Petite beauty Aamna Shariff and handsome hunk Rajeev
Khandelwal have been approached for a Pakistani TV serial, as
yet untitled, which will require them to be together for 20 days
in Malaysia, sometime early next year. The serial, that will also
feature Pak star Humayun Saeed will be produced by Saeed himself
. No prizes for guessing that two males and one female in the
principal cast spells a love triangle. Seems, Aamna who starred
in Saeed's Ana- The Ego as well, has a become a favourite
in the Saeed camp!

Death
becomes him?
Rohit
Bakshi is leading rather short lives across Balaji soaps. First,
Ekta bumped him off as Kashish's husband Piyush in Kahiin To
Hoga. Now we learn that Rohit, who plays Vishal in Kyunki
,
will soon be shown dead. Vishal has been involved in a drug racket
of late, and by next week, things will mess up enough to have him
bumped off. Apparently, no-good Ansh is behind Vishal's problems.
His widow, Shobha (Ritu Chowdhary) however, will not have to don
white garb for too long - she is slated to marry Vivan Bathena who
has entered the show as Abhishek recently. |

Whassup
Kiran?
Psst
we heard Kiran 'Om' Karmarkar was about to quit Kahaani Ghar
Ghar Kii. Boy, where would that leave Ekta? Pallavi out, Babuji
out, now Om too? When contacted, Kiran however denied, "These
are preposterous rumours being floated by wild and idle minds.
I am very much doing KGGK and have no plans of quitting."
That we hear there was a slight issue, now settled (hopefully),
is a different story.

New drama in 'KGGK'
Ekta's
Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii is getting ready for lots of drama
in the coming weeks. The focus will now shift to Sachin (aka Krishna).
Sachin wants to marry advocate Purva Gokhale, but as usual, there
will be some family problems. And just in case you want to know
why Sachin's earlier love, Vaishali, was killed off, we'll let
you in what our sleuths have to say. Vaishali herself called it
a day; she wanted to settle down in matrimony. We don't know whether
she cooked up an excuse, for none of the KGGK actors have
any contact with her, leave aside an invitation to her wedding.

Tanna in 'Kya Kahein'
Kya
Kahein (Zoom) seems to be going on the lines of its erstwhile
stablemate Kya Haadsa Kya Haqeeqat (Sony). Balaji Telefilms'
penchant of utilizing the actors from its camp continues. Soon,
you will see the long-legged Karishma Tanna in one of the episodes
depicting strange happenings.

Hussain's
mystery girlfriend?
Our
sleuths spotted the dashing Hussain (the new host of the revamped
and soon to be launched Khullja Sim Sim) zipping around
the city in a Lancer the other night with a mystery girl in tow.
Our spies tried their best to get a sneak peek of Hussain's pretty
escort (the guy has never been linked with any girl, so far),
and even spied them cosying up for a smooch through the tinted
windowpanes of the car, but all they could dig out was that the
petite damsel is a Dadar resident. Any guesses, anyone?

Star
N Style !
Star sure knows how to launch its new shows in style.
Last night, at a glitzy do
to introduce its new shows for the coming season to the media
and marketing fraternity, the channel mingled performances by
lead artistes of all the new series, with a live Khullja Sim Sim
for the assembled folk.
Needless to say, the show was hosted by Khullja's new face, Hussain.
Amid some witty banter, Hussain proved his mettle as a capable
game show host, while the Open Sesame doors opened to live
performances from upcoming shows like the Nausheen starrer Kaalchakra,
the Asit Modi production Saarthi and the Sagars' new Hello Dolly
and Vinta Nanda's mega series Mili.
Plenty of standard Khullja
goodies exchanged hands, the music rocked and the booze flowed....
Mukul Dev made his first
official entrance as the replacement for Aly Khan in K Street
Pali Hill, although Aly continues to be present on the hoardings
and on air promos. One must admit though, that Mukul looks a tad
less sinister than the intense Aly in the required dark shades
of the character he plays on K Street....
Vinta Nanda was present too,
bursting with enthusiasm over her feature film venture White Noise
that releases December.
Pssst....Look out for the
Mili debutante protagonist ...Mona Vasu....she's a stunner!

Yudi
returns to TV with 'Men Maange More'!
He left Channel
[V] with Bollywood dreams in his eyes, but he's returned to the
tube, although in a different avatar.
Yudi, better known as a [V] veejay till April this year, will soon
be hosting the first ever lifestyle show for men called 'Men Maange
More' on the soon to be launched StarOne.
Produced by Anita Horam (the
former programming head for Fashion TV in India), MMM will be
a location based show, in which Yudi will explore all the possible
lifestyle activities, gizmos and destinations that the upmarket
Indian male aspires to. "Bikes, gadgets, all the hi end exclusive
stuff that men want to possess, will feature on MMM," says
Anita.
Yudi too has been given a
different look for MMM, a sporty outgoing look, a 20 something,
aspirational feel.
Celebs form a part of the
show, too. MMM went to filmmaker Kunal Kohli's house to check
out his new plasma TV set and to actor Rohit Roy's place to test
drive his swank new Cherokee. And ahem, style divas too form part
of MMM - they will pop in to offer fashion tips and the like,
for the half hour magazine show.
Sounds good? We are waiting
to see what Zoom, that out and out lifestyle channel, comes up
with to counter this one!
