Prajakta Shukre, one
of the ten Indian Idol finalists made her
acting debut with Rihaee on Sony

this week. Sony used her singing as well as
acting talent on the show where Prajakta played
the part of a young celebrity, who after a
performance, witnesses the murder of her model
- friend. Her performance had quite a positive
reception and we personally felt she did a
good job.
"She's a young girl, and that made
me have my apprehensions, but once we got
shooting, Prajakta surprised us all with
her acting skills!" exclaims Guroudev
Bhalla, director, Rihaee. So does Prajakta
have it in her to make it in tellydom? "I
think she's extremely talented and capable
of making it as a good actress. If she goes
on and continues to act she'll surely make
it big, and that's a directors cut!"
he goes on.
Guroudev also feels Prajakta is extremely
professional and added that she even stayed
back at times when the shoots were not done
with. "It took her nothing to ask for
a retake if she wasn't completely satisfied
by a particular scene"
Following the footsteps of Indian idol
Abhijeet Sawant and Amit Tandon (one of
the ten finalists on Sony's Indian Idol)
who made their acting debuts on Sony, let's
see if Prajakta uses acting or singing skills
as her forte in the future!
