"Aman
is innocent!" - Amit Sana
While the whole world goes out expressing
their views, opinions, anger and surprise, we took a detour
to find out what the Indian Idol contestants have to
say about the Aman Verma - India TV episode. These are the
youngsters, aspirants with stars in their eyes, who spent
quality time with the beleaguered television personality for
the last six months. We spoke to a few of them who had interacted
with Aman on the sets of Indian Idol.
Amit
Sana (Indian Idol runner up): Aman is innocent.
I can say this because I have interacted with him for almost
six months. We used to ask him what takes one to Bollywood.
He told us there are two ways to make your way to Bollywood:
if you make it own your talent, it will be a long route, but
if you make it thorugh unethical ways, it will be a short
cut.
Rahul
Vaidya:
I have been following news for the past few days. India TV
is being unfair to Aman Verma. Aman is a 31 year old bachelor
and what he does in his bedroom in none of anyone's business.
I felt very bad when I saw Aman falling at Suhaib's feet and
asking forgiveness. Casting couch exists because the women
allow it to exist. He was always good on the sets of Indian
Idol.
Manisha
Sawant (Indian Idol Abhijeet Sawant's mother):
I am busy watching the repeat episodes of Indian Idol on Sony,
and just don't have the time for other channels.I don't know
what has happened.
Priyanka
Venkateshwaran (Indian Idol contestant who dropped out of
the 10 finalists):
Yes,
I watched India's Most Wanted, and I know about the
scandal. But I do not want to comment on the issue.
Rahul
Saxena( eliminated from the last 11):
I
have been busy with shows. So I am not aware of what has happened
lately.
(After being informed of Aman Verma's turn of fortunes, Rahul
remains silent.)
