The suspense unfolds…

Doordarshan will soon be launching a bi-weekly soap Raaz.. ki ek baatt.

The serial that launches 6 March, boasts of veteran actors Gufi Paintal, Ravi Kishan, Sushil Parshar, Smita Hai, Dinesh Kaushik, Jaya Bhattacharya, Vaishali Saini and Indira Krishnan.

The plot revolves around Jaya Bhattacharya, the second daughter-in-law of the family who cannot conceive owing to her husband's impotency. This serial will see Jaya playing a strong negative character.

Is she born to play negative roles? "No, I want to play positive roles as well. But I am not offered any," she laughs.

So will this soap be in line with other saas-bahu sagas? "It is a complete family drama," assures producer Abhimanyu Singh of Contiloe Films.
