Oscars' Red Carpet was like a mela: Yudi
Yudi,
aka Yudhishtir, has just returned from hosting the Oscars'
Red Carpet in Los Angeles, and is now poised to play a significant
part in a 13 part TV series, which would be shot in the format
of a short film. The former [V] veejay won't reveal the name
of the channel the series would be aired on, however.

Yudi
was the Indian face at the Red Carpet and he made his presence
felt with his spontaneity and ready wit for folks watching
him back home on Star Movies. Speaking about his experience
at the Oscars, he says, "It was crazy, but simple
--- all I had to do was shove the mike into people's faces,
and I have never done that before," says Yudi, who was
given just a week's notice by Star to pack his bags and go
to Oscar land.
A
trip that was full of funny anecdotes, Yudi remembers the
time when he had misunderstood a winner and a major goof up
was averted, thanks to his cameraman.
"It
was difficult to decipher the American twang, and I often
ended up hearing the wrong thing, " he laughs. He says
that his performance at the Oscars was not the

best, but it was definitely the most satisfying.
With
Star Movies bagging exclusive rights to air Oscar winning
movies, to represent the channel at the Oscars was Big! Yudi
realizes the magnitude of his achievement, but this did not
prevent him from having some fun. "It was like a boxing
ring," he says.With 300 to 400 camera crews lined up
at the venue, Yudi had to really fight hard for his moments
of glory.His
VJing days are over, however. He is currently hosting Star
One's Men Mange More.
VJ, anchor, film actor (film, yet to be completed) a trip
to the Oscars and now a part in a serial --- this is not all,
this VJ turned actor now has a surprise up his sleeves. Our
sources say that Yudi will host the Gladrags Model Hunt
which will be aired on Sony soon. The next stop on his calender
is Mauritius, where he will be shooting for Gladrags.
Well,
this lad seems to be going places, and to know where else
he will be seen, stay clued to this space!
