Bhabhi to jump 16 years!

Leaps in soaps have become as common as salt and pepper, so why should Bhabhi lag behind? Seems, Star Plus thinks just that! End of this month, Bhabhi is slated for a 16-year fast forward.

Confirming the development, the creative head of the show, Sukesh Motwani (Creative Head) says, "The point where the leap will take place is very interesting. (Saroj) Dolly Sohi will meet with an accident and lose her memory. Thereafter, she will be in the house of a new man for the next 16 years. After 16 years, she will meet her original family... but fail to recognize anybody from that clan." Filmi eh! Quite like the Sridevi starrer, Sadma!

course there'll be more characters. Let's see who all get in," Motwani says matter-of-factly.

Is Tilak (Manish Goel) going to be the same? "It's early days for me to confirm on this. We are talking to him on certain issues." Which issues? Money? "Money is one issue. The other issue is his look," reveals Motwani.

Will Saroj be the same? "Yes, Saroj will be the same," Motwani asserts.

Dolly Sohi endorses, "I will take the show to its logical conclusion," but adds, "After this show, I don't intend doing any other project. I will be shifting permanently to Canada with my husband."

So, Indian television is going to lose a beautiful and talented actress? Sohi laughs, "Kya karun?"

The newly wed bride is missing her husband too much. "I can't stay without him anymore. Initially I thought that I will shuttle between India and Canada... lekin nahin ho raha hai. I want to be with him all the time. Right now he is posted in London. I have just returned from London. After my honeymoon, I went to him for the first time and stayed for just a week. I wish I could have stayed more," she trails off.
