Idol talk!

As the days are advancing for Indian Idol2, the thrill and excitement among viewers as well as the Indian Idol finalist is on a rise. We spoke to the contestants who made it big last time and asked them about their feelings when they look back at their tenure. Chikita Kukreja learns tit bits, yet untold!

I am very very excited as I was a part of the whole thingy. I eagerly want to know how other contestants will perform on stage. My friends are also giving the auditions and each day I get to know the expert's comments. If I would have been in the jury, I would definitely look for the quality of voice, originality, stage presence and of course confidence. I have been doing a lot of these promotional shows in Raipur and Rajasthan of late, despite being busy with my album with Sony BMG, which is going to be out in the market by December. For Diwali, I want to go to Jabalpur, my home town, and have a blast there. Let's see how things work out.

This whole idea of Indian Idol is just fantastic. 11 more people will join the gang and reach the top. I expect a lot for it. A complete package would be one thing that I would be looking for in the contestants. I've been involved in these promotional shows for which I went to Ajmer, Rajasthan, Chandighar and other places. As far as Diwali is concerned, I want to enjoy it to the fullest, but I need to take out time from the recordings that I have to do for the film which I am doing.

Once again Sony is providing a great opportunity to the kids out there who want to make it to the glamour world and are not able to come over the challenges. I want this show to start off soon because it will increase the viewer-ship of Kaisa Ya Pyar Hai. If I would be a part of the Jury, I would look for complete packages. Only singing is not enough, you need to be a performer too. The first thing that I would do is to be unbiased, unlike Anu Malik. I wanted to do the promotional shows for Indian idol II but unfortunately I could not take out time since I am too busy with Kaisa… Diwali is same for me….no family here and I'm shooting, so my Diwali is going to be with the cast and crew.

Jealous! Actually jealous. I am missing the fun we had all together on the auditions itself. It was hardly a competition between us. It's a feeling I just can't explain. But yes it's going to rock once again. Me being a judge in Indian Idol I would lay my priority for a good voice first and foremost. Then it would definitely be his performance, his level of confidence on stage. Being busy with Sajid Vajid's movie, Jawani Diwani and Farah Khan's up coming movie keeps me tied up. I don't have time for any festivals. Actually, my work is celebration for me."
