All
good thing comes with a price tag! Sometimes
celebs pay the price of their fame with
their privacy, sometimes with things more
tangible! We spoke to some of them to find
out how they feel about being constantly
under the media glare!

I agree we have to pay a price of being
a celebrity at times. The culprits of the
Jessica Lal case are moving around scot-free,
and a high status celebrity like Salman
Khan who has killed two black bugs is suffering
for seven damn years to prove himself! It
has certainly happened with me too. After
one and a half year of marriage, I had put
on some weight, so people started calling
up and asking whether I have started drinking?
People are constantly speculating about
my life. Why don't they get it, that we
are humans too, and we too like breaking
rules!

No, I don't think that way. I feel, we
all are equal and I have never been treated
special, by anyone around just because I
am a celebrity. I have banged my car so
many times into trucks, but people have
always helped me out, just because I am
just another human being! I still mix around
with people. I also bargain at the grocery
shops!

I feel there are a very few disadvantages
of being a celebrity as compared to innumerable
advantages we have. Yes, there are certain
times when we feel very conscious of doing
things, but I guess we pay a very small
price of being a celebrity then! It did
happen with me too, once I broke a queue
as I was in hurry. Well, I am not really
fond of doing that, but I was genuinely
getting late. A gentleman stopped me, and
said that you being a celebrity shouldn't
do such a thing. I gave it a thought and
went back. These are routine things, which
one should acknowledge.

do loose our privacy"

Yes, obviously that happens. People look
up to us, and we need to be careful of not
doing things which will make a negative
impression. We have to be very careful,
and in turn we do loose our privacy. Whenever
I go for a run on the beach, people constantly
stare at me, I loose my concentration on
running and instead take a u-turn! There
are 100s of people there, but people stare
only at me! Only because I am a celebrity,
so somewhere we do pay a heavy price!
Nikhil Arya-"People
don't even confirm the information from
us"
Well, we certainly have to pay a heavy
price for our fame. I will give you a very
small instance which happened with me. A
popular television magazine wrote that I
was buying a ring for Karishma Tanna just
because they spotted me at a jewelry shop.
They didn't have the decency to confirm
it with me, as I was buying it for my sister
who is in U.S. And later when Karishma called
them up, they carried it in their next issue
saying that "Karishma calls us up,
and she didn't get the ring probably!"
I have nothing to say about these things.
