Aashish Kaul, known for character roles, will be entering the track of Kaisa Ye Pyaar Hai on Sony. He will play a lawyer, Mr. Verma and will be seen advocating for Sheetal (Ashlesha Sawant) against Angad, who has supposedly raped her.

" Kids used to address me as a rapist!"

"I guess they saw my performance in K Street Pali, where, for the first time I played a lawyer's character. He's a strong headed personality and certainly is confident," says Aashish.

Aashish got a call on 23 April , at 12.30 a.m. " Yes, I got a call late at night, and they asked me to play this particular character," says the actor. The character was decided yesterday itself.
Aashish once played a rapist himself in Balaji's Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki. "Well, yes, I played a rapist there, and that character was a substantial one. It was a real struggle for me to get out of that image, as whenever I used to stroll down the road kids used to call me a rapist! I personally don't like doing negative roles, though I have tons by my side. I like portraying lovable characters, I like the chocolate boy image," says Aashish.

On being asked about the duration of his character on screen he says, "Well, they say it's a cameo and will go on for a month. Lets see how it shapes up, you know how it works."

Aashish got his share of fame after he was seen as Aryaman in Kkusum. He did a few cameos which includes Kaavyanjali, Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki and K Street Pali Hill. He was also seen in Sahara's Saathiya.
