Delnaaz Paul is on seventh heaven! The reason being the perky actress has bagged two firsts in her life. It's the first time that she has been signed on for a daily soap and secondly the jackpot is in the form of Balaji Telefilms' Karam Apna Apna on Star Plus.

"I am so thrilled that Ekta Kapoor has signed me on. And instead of considering me for a comedy show she has offered me a proper, full-fledged character in her forthcoming serial Karam Apna Apna. For the first time in my career, I play a Punjabi bahu. As of now, the actor opposite me has not yet been finalized," says Delnaaz.

The storyline of Karam Apna Apna revolves around two families, a Bengali and a Punjabi one. Delnaaz who was rather hesitant to reveal more about her role, says, " I cannot reveal more about my role at this stage, but since it's a Balaji show it promises to be interesting. I have always heard good things about the producton house from my husband Rajeev. In fact, I have always dreamt of doing a Balaji show," gushes the cherubic actress

The ex-lecturer has so far acted only in weekly serials (Shararat, Kudkudiya House No.43) and has been featured as a comedienne alone. "But now it is going to be a daily soap and I will be shown in a lighter vein but not entirely as a comedienne," she says.

God has answered her prayers and the dream has materialized for the actress who is full of joie de vivre!
