Jodee Kamaal
Ki piggybacks on Nach Baliye
fervour
|
|
If you
caught celeb TV couples straigten out their
left feet on Star One's Nach Baliye,
get ready for some more intimate talk from
them on the inaugural episode of Star Plus'
Jodee Kamaal Ki.
The
celebrity game show that replaces the aborted
Kaun Banega Crorepati II from 4 March,
will have Rajeshwari and Varun Badola, Archana
Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi and Poonam and
Manish Goyal pitting their wits rather than
their dancing skills, against each other.
Other couples scheduled to appear on the show
include some Nach Baliye couples like
Maninee and Mihir Misra and some others like
Pooja Rawal and her husband, on epiosdes that
will air in following weeks.
A
creation of Creative Eye, thus far known for
making mythological shows and then some, like
Miilee, Jodee Kamaal Ki is almost
an extension of Nach Baliye, and coincidentally
(?) shares the same director. Termed a 'distinctive
celebrity game show based on the universal
theme of love,
companionship and understanding', JKK will
test the strength of
relationships as well as the compatibility
levels of couples.
Rakshanda
Khan, who will anchor the show, will be tricked
out in an Indo western wardrobe specially
designed by Sheetal Design Studio. Celeb participants
who have been on the show, are ecstatic about
the elaborate sets put up at Mehboob Studios
in Bandra in suburban Mumbai, where the show
is shot. Both Maninee and Pooja insist that
they had a great time 'discovering themselves'
on the show that's just a faint recall of
an old TV show that used to be anchored by
Jalal Agha.
If JKK inspires as much fervour as
Nach Baliye and be as big a draw as KBC
2, Star Plus should have a winner on its
hands.
