He's not a new face to television. Only you have never seen him host a show on his own. Last seen applauding the champions on Star One's Great Indian Laughter Challenge, ace stand up comic Johny Lever is getting ready to don a new cap - that of a show anchor. Johny Ala Re is the new comedy show for Zee TV that Lever will be anchoring in the next couple of months.

The show is being produced by Akashdeep, whose last major claim to fame was Sahara's magnus opus Karishma - The Miracles of Destiny. The Lever show will be co hosted by Swetta Keswani. While Lever will interview celebs - and that includes singers and comedians to actors, and provide his usual gags, spoofs and stand up comedy along with a live band for company. Swetta will co-host the show to streamline the show and interact with the audience to and provide a one to one to the viewers.

"It is a fun show and one can expect a lot of comedy when Johny is around"is all that Akashdeep,the producer was ready to reveal about the show.

Ashiesh Roy will make a guest appearance in the show for two episodes. The show promises to be an entertainer with surprise elements thrown in besides an innovative set. Johny Ala Re is expected to hit the small screen by March or earlier and will be a weekly with a prime time slot.
