Yes, I do think that cars symbolise the status of a person. But then, it is just for a certain period of time, after that it's nothing but just a car. It may not necessarily convey the right message of one's status. Other than cars, it could be houses. Well, I am really bad, when it comes to recognising brands of clothes, watches diamonds and other such things.

Well yes, for me it is very much a matter of prestige. But more than that, it's the drive and its feel which matters. But I never bought this car thinking of the status that it stood for. In nine out of 10 foreign language movies, the car is a permanent fixture. I would rather call it a dream fulfilled than a status issue. And obviously when I look at a star, I will compare his car to his status that is very much human. We have the habit of constantly scrutinising several things. And moreover one buys a car, not only to have it as a status symbol but also that it is good stuff.

No, not at all. For me it doesn't matter one bit. I have seen big stars that come for their shoot in ordinary cars or cars which do not match up to their status. And actors who sport cars which say that it is a status symbol are showing off and actually have nothing. I feel for an actor acting well is the best status symbol he can have, and that is what I have.

Yes definitely, having a car does define a person's status symbol. But I didn't buy my car being under any status pressure. I bought it simply because other good cars were going out of my budget. Other than cars, I guess real diamonds can definitely define someone's prestige.

Yes in today's date car is a major status symbol. Other than that I don't think any other materialistic bit defines status that well as a car does. If some day I see Salman Khan, I will definitely relate his status to the car he owns.
