After a seemingly minor earthquake one night in Los Angeles, a giant brust of lava is released from the La Brea Tat Pits, resulting in the birth of new valcano under due city. City officals are reluctant to belive scientists who notice the early warning signs (the temperature of lake rises 6 dgrees in 12 hours) but they learn their lesson when lave begins to spill our into the streets and to destroy buildings and cars.
