It
will take only an absolute winner to take
on from where KBC2 left off -- Jodi
Kamaal Ki is hoping to create just the
amount of magic that will keep the viewers
glued to their television sets at that time
slot.

The concept of the game show, although
not unique, is very interesting -- it will
test the level of compatibility between
celeb couples and have some fun doing it
too.

"It's a fun show. There is no nail
biting finish or a great prize at stake.
We will give them a hamper that is more
like a token of appreciation," says
director, Deepak Gattani, who was also the
director of the immensely successful show
on Star One, Nach Baliye.
There's one major difference between Nach
Baliye and Jodi...- this time
around Star has invited celeb couples from
different walks of life. Celeb couples like
former Union Finance Minister, Yashwant
Sinha and his writer wife, Neelima, former
cricketer Shrikant and his wife, the director
duo Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan, and Nach
Baliye couples, Varun- Rajeshwari, Manish
- Poonam and Rohit - Mansi will be part
of the show. The date of the launch of the
show is yet to be decided.
The format of the show too is very intriguing.
There will be three different couples on
each episode and they will play various
games to show their compatibility with their
other half.

"It's a very subtle communication.
It's fun and very interactive without being
competitive. There will be celebs from different
walks of life," says Gattani.
The team has already canned the first schedule
of the show and will start the second soon.
The celebs had initial reservations about
the show, but gave in once the concept was
explained to them. "They were all very
sporting and took the whole thing in the
right spirit. I had no problems shooting
with them," points out Gattani.

Rendezvouz with Simi Garewal, Nach
Baliye and Koffee with Karan have,
at some point or the other dealt with celeb
couples, and all of them were successes
in some degrees, Jodi...is definitely
on its way!
