The
new Sony show, Khush Raho Tum Sada
is seeing some changes, even before its
proposed launch.
The show starring Anuj Saxena in the lead
will now be called Rishton Ki Dorr and
will be launched some time in the last week
of January, sources say.
The show, touted as the latest one hour
daily to hit the tube, since Remix on
Star One, was supposed to be a one hour
daily, but the channel now plans to make
it a half hour daily. According to sources,
the show will be put on air sooner than
expected due to impending plans of revamping
the afternoon band.
"Well, yes, the show is now called
Rishton Ki Dorr and is now a half
hour daily. I am enjoying shooting for the
show and looking forward to it being on
air," says Anupama Verma, who plays
Anuj Saxena's wife in the show.
This is Anuj's only show after Kkusum
and with a strong character in his kitty,
the actor seems to be have started 2006
on firm ground.
"Yes, we have changed the name of
the show and we will announce the date of
launch when we are ready to do so,"
says Sony's programming head, Anupama Mandloi.
Rishton Ki...is based on a telenovela,
Three Sisters and is the latest in
a series of shows based on telenovelas.
Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin ( Yo Soy
Betty La Fea), Ek Ladki Anjaani Si
(Juana La Virgen), Shaadi Street proposed
show on Star Plus (Brides Avenue) and
others.
Rishton
Ki...will
be produced by Adhikari Brothers and
was supposed to air in March. It is
about a middle-class man, Suhas (Saxena),
and his three sisters. After the death
of their parents Suhas is left with
the responsibility to look after his
sisters. This creates a rift between
him and his wife (Anupama Verma). The
other characters will be played by Jiten
Lalwani, Sonal Sehgal and Gaurav Chanana.
The three sisters are being played by
model Sampada, Sheetal and Munaaz, we
hear. |
