Kumkum crosses the border...again!

"It was during Tere Ishq Main that Producer Hasan Zia from Mastermind Productions approached me with this story. When I heard the story, I liked the character very much. The story charts the journey of this girl from India to Pakistan and the hurdles she has to face before she achieves her goal," says a visible excited Juhi.

The story is that of an Indian Muslim girl's quest to find her roots in Pakistan. Juhi is reluctant to divulge any details as the nature of the quest is central to the plot. However, she does mention that the character is that of a very strong, focused girl. Juhi will start shooting for the show from next month.

The serial is a fourteen episode and according to the actor that's what makes Pakistani shows different from the ones made in India. "Unlike Indian shows, Pakistani serials are very short. There they don't have long drawn out melodrama. Even the manner of production is different. First, the show is shot completely and and only then is it sold. So it takes a few months before any serial is telecast," reasons Juhi.

While commenting on her earlier experience of shooting in Pakistan, Juhi states, "It was an overwhelming experience. The public are crazy about Indian shows and Kumkum happens to be one of the most popular shows there. So, I am all the more exicted to be doing this second serial."
