Sai Deodhar Anand has gone and chopped off her tresses. The actor, last seen in CID, is sporting a short new hairdo....

Sai - Sporting a trendy haircut!

Why, we wondered. " I just got bored of my long tresses," she explains. Sai, who cut her hair last week, was seen publicly with the new look at the Star Parivaar awards on Wednesday, where she hosted a segment of the show. Post Nach Baliye where she was last seen with her better half Shakti Anand, Sai has only been spotted at parties and social dos.

"I got my hair cut a week back and everyone's been telling me I should have done it sooner. There is still a lot of time left for my next show to begin, so I thought I would go in for a break and cut my hair really short! Besides, short hairdos are really in, while long hairstyles are boring and out of fashion," says Sai, excited about her crowning glory. "But, you know, I felt out of place on Wednesday as most of the actors were in traditional wear while I walked in wearing a western outfit!" she laughs.

Sai gets her hair cut by a hair stylist called Roxanne who has been her stylist for a long time. She had once donned a wig for her show CID on Sony where she played a criminal psychologist.
After Nach Baliye, she was also involved in documentary film making,following her famous film maker mother's(Shrabani Deodhar)footsteps.

Sai intends to be back on the small screen again, and might just take up a different assignment altogether soon. Let's wait and watch.
