All
roads will lead to Cannes this April as
the who's who of the televison industry
makes a beeline for, MIPTV, the biggest

"I am not going to buy or sell anything
at MIPTV! Being a part of the entertainment
industry, it's essential that I know what's
happening in the world outside. That is
why I am going to Cannes," says Majethia,
whose production house, Hats Off Productions
has a successful show, Ba Bahoo aur Baby
on air on Star Plus at the moment.
Anuj Saxena, who was last seen as Manik
in Kumkum heads Maverick Productions,
that has already produced many TVCs, the
prominent ones being Tiger Balm white, Blistix
Lip care balm, A.M. Mouth Wash and Fair
One fairness cream, while Maverick's first
show Khiladi No 1 is already on air
on Zee Smile. Moreover, the actor's company
Elder Pharma has bagged the title sponsor
rights of Filmfare Awards for the next three
years.
According to reports, Elder is looking
to extend its association with Shahnaz Hussain,
has plans to introduce shampoos in the hair-care
segment and is looking to bring in products
available overseas. Additionally, a deal
with an Australian company is on the anvil.

Anuj will surely look to benefit from the
very latest market information and discover
opportunities for new business in Cannes.
As earlier mentioned by Majethia, this
is a great opportunity for the two to meet
the people that count in the fields of film,
TV, mobile, internet and interactive TV,
advertising and brand licensing.
Reed Midem - the company that organises
the market - is examining opportunities
to promote the two TV actors-cum-producers
in Cannes. It's the first time that an actor
from the small screen in India will be trudging
the aisles of the Palais des Festivals where
MipTV is held.
Aishwarya Rai and Mallika Sherawat have
done their bit for the Indian film industry
at the Cannes Film Festival over the past
three years. Now it's the turn of these
two highly popular TV stars.
