Out with his new album, Karan Oberoi is on cloud nine! Last seen in Sony's Jassi Jaisi koi Nahin, Karan has been traveling all around the country to promote his new album along with his band. He is an avid reader and cannot do without book by his side. He talks to Riya V Anandwala about his collection.

"I have lost counting of my books"

Which book are you reading right now?
I am reading this book called,The Beloved by Osho. I have just started reading this book and I am just in its second page, so can't tell you anything about it.

Which book did you explore prior to this one?
Well, I read this book called The Monk who sold the Ferrari written by an Indian author Robbin Sharma. It gives advice about living our life in a definite way. It also talks about spirituality.

Is there any particular reason for you being so involved with books?
There is no reason as such, I have been reading since I was a child. Other than my inherent interest, it was always encouraged at home! Apart from the learning and knowledge aspect, a book is a man's best companion, mostly while traveling.

"I love reading everything!"

What sorts of books do you like to read?
I am a voracious reader, I love reading everything. From Archie's to encyclopedia, from fiction to non-fiction, every damn thing!

Which book is closest to your heart?
I like reading whatever interests me and have a varied taste. So there is no book as such, but I do like non-fiction and also readers digest, as I feel that it is a compilation of amazing facts. Basically as I said earlier I enjoy everything.

Tell us something about your collection
Well, I can't even think of counting my books. They are so many that I'll loose my counting. I have this huge cupboard which is full of books. And yes, I have innumerable encyclopedia's, which I love reading.
