" I don't forget to thank God every day"

There are times in all our lives, when we desire the need for divine intervention; times, when life refuses to acknowledge the seemingly obvious and decides to take refuge in a world that is far away from ours. A world that gives the body and mind the spiritual healing that it yearns for. We, at Telly Chakkar.com decided to delve deeper into the lives of our favourite stars and know a little about their lives beyond the obvious.

Sarah Jane , the charming VJ on Channel [V] who talks nineteen to a dozen giving her take on the latest trends, films and music makes for an interesting soul. They say looks can be deceptive but one look at her and one would think she's the ultra- chic female on the tube but get to know her deeper and you realize that she is all brains, very philosophical ,straight forward and a beautiful person too.

Kavita Shyam talks to Sarah Jane about her beliefs

" It is nice to have a belief system"
Yes, I do believe that there is a supernatural force. Though I do have friends who do not believe in God but you don't start disliking them because of this. I believe to each his own. It's nice to have some sort of a belief system, a force which controls, provides and protects us.
I go to the Mount( church on Mount Mary Road in Suburban Mumbai)everyday in the morning before I go for my daily walk and light a candle and do my personal prayers. I surely feel better and peaceful after that.
I have been to Jerusalem with my parents, which is the only pilgrimage I've been to.

" I like to listen to people's thoughts and opinions"
I can be a philosophical person at times, it depends. I don't preach a lot though I like to listen to people's opinions. I don't like people fighting on religion which tends to be topic of discussion.
Like every human being I also ask for a lot of things from God but I don't forget to thank God for everything that I have.

On Christmas I love to give gifts to people so probably that's one ritual that I follow every year.I am not extremely superstitious person but if a cat crosses me I don't like it.

" My mother has drilled the right thoughts into my head"
My strongest belief is that there is a God. There is someone up there, a supernatural force which is guiding us. Also I believe what goes around comes around. If you do good, good will happen to you and everything happens for a reason. These are things that my mother has drilled into my head since childhood. Also if you are a good person and do good deeds everything else will fall into place.

"Good deeds and professional happiness is important for me"
I also feel professional happiness would entail money but most definitely family comes first for me perhaps even before I think of myself. I don't like to brag about my good deeds but like to help and contribute to charity as and when I can.
