Saathi
Re is all set to introduce a new set
of family for Suman (the main protagonist)
who will marry Amir Dalvi (Rajiv) in the
Star One show. The new Raval family will
include the likes of Vandana Pathak (plays
mother), Deepak Qazir (father), Prithvi
Zutsi, Sadiya Siddique, Tuhina (sister in
law), Jyotsna Karyekar(grandmother) and
Harsh Vashisht in the happy family.
So we asked Vandana Pathak what made her
take up the role of a mother in the show.
Vandana
Pathak playing Damini(the head of
the family)

"I play Damini who is the head of
the family. She's a very sophisticated and
elegant lady. It's a positive character
and holds the reigns of the family in her
hands. I liked the production house and
the role which was offered to me so I didnt
think twice before taking up the offer,"
says Vandana who will have a royal look
in the show complete with sari and heavy
jewellery.
The shooting commences from 19 November
and the new family will go on air from 21
November onwards.
Sunjoy Waddhwa, (Sphere Origins),producer
of the show gives us an affirmation regarding
the new family.
"Yes we will have a new family coming
in soon in the show and the switch was planned
from beforehand. The main protagonist gets
married to Amir Dalvi and
Amir
Dalvi,Parakh Madan and Arjun Punj:
Who will be my saathi?

goes into the new family and how the story
progresses with her life. The new track
has been added to add colour and shades
to the characters. And the family she goes
into is a nice, rich, business oriented joint
family very typical of the Rajshree's movies
," smiles the producer who is on cloud
nine with the TRP ratings of his Zee show
Saath Phere.
In the current track the main protagonist
(Suman) gets married to Amir Dalvi (Rajiv
Raval) and gets into the new family leaving
her previous lover Arjun Punj behind who
later comes back, to find his love married
already.
Here's hoping the new family inspired by
the Rajshree's movies does good for the
TRP's of the show as well.
