She
plays the vicious Kaveri in Zee's TRP raker
Saat Phere. Meet, Aanchal Dwivedi,
who is currently winning accolades for her
evil histrionics, coupled with her vampish
makeup and garish sarees.
This small town girl from Itawa, came to
Mumbai in search of her dream career. About
two years back, Aanchal was seen on the
tube in Sahara One's Humse Hai Zamaana
and Kuuch Love Kuuch Masti. Later,
she did Ken Ghosh's Ada. Currently,
the pesky actor is also being seen in a
comic act on Sab's Lets Party.
Here, in an exclusive chat, Aanchal talks
bout her negative role in Saat Phere
and also about her alleged affair with actor
Vishal Kotian.
So, tell us how
did Saat Phere happen?.
Not too many people know but
I am related to Pallavi Joshi and Vivek
Agnihotri who happen to be my Chaachi
and Chacha. I lived with them for
a year. When I told them about my desire
to get into acting, Pallavi Chachi advised
me to start going for auditions. For one
long year, I gave a lot of auditions but
nothing happened. Then two years back I
did Humse Hai Zamaana on Sahara and
Kuuch Love Kuuch Masti and later
did Ken Ghosh's Ada. On the last
day of the shoot I was on my way back home
and was thinking what I will do now and
I received a call from the makers of Saat
Phere. Just after one and a half hour
later I got a call that I was in for the
role of Kaveri.
How
far do you relate to Kaveri?
I don't relate to Kaveri at all.
In real life, I am a very down to earth
person. Sometimes, I feel Kaveri has no
reasons for whatever she does. Yet, when
on screen when I essay the character, I
feel totally evil.
What kind of feedback
have you received from viewers?
Saat Phere is my first
daily and has got me success and fame in
a short period. When I bump into people
who watch the show, they tell me my performance
is good. Recently, when I went to Aurangabad
women wanted to know all about my sarees,
hair and make up. Somehow, noone has really
behaved negative towards me.
How is Mazher
Syedd as a co-star?
He is a brat. He pulls my leg
all the time. He hides outside the make
up van trying out stunts to scare me. The
entire unit is like a family and we spend
at least thirteen hours together.
You are also doing
a comedy Let's Party?
Ya, it's a weekly on Sab TV.
I am playing a lively girl. Dilip Joshi
is paired opposite me. It is interesting
to do a comedy and a negative character
simultaneously.
Would you do a
typical saas bahu soap?
Why not? In fact, I would love
to do it. I think, the genre has a lot of
potential. But, Balaji hasn't approached
me as yet. If they offer me a good role,
I would like to work for them.
What
would you have been, if not an actress?
I would have been doing something
related to forest life. I am very much fascinated
by forests. I love to watch National Geographic.
When I turn 35 or so I would like to go
and live in the forests and make films on
animals.
Are
you tuned into reality shows? Have you been
watching Nach Baliye 2 or Jhalak Dikhhla
Ja?
I am more tuned into Naach
Baliye 2. I think its more performance based
whereas Jhalak is just more loads of fun.
Are
you seeing Vishal Kotiyan?
No, I am not seeing Vishal.
I have known him for the last few years.
We were to do a play together which didn't
happen. When I started doing Saat Phere
he asked me if I would like to act in Let's
Party and I agreed and people jumped
to their own conclusions
Describe
your dream man?
He should be a family man and should appreciate
hard work and my career. So, I don't have
great expectations but I am a normal person
looking for a normal person.
Do
you have any Godfather?
Not really a Godfather,
but my father Suresh Dwivedi has been a
great source of inspiration for me. I have
two brothers yet my father says my beti
is my beta. I am here because
of him.
