Every
individual, be it a celeb or not, at some
stage of their life needs an inspiration
to push their aptitude bar. They look up
to an incredible role model when it comes
to integrating sustainability and style
into their lives every day.
Prashant Golecha
finds out from select TV celebs about their
icons in life and who inspires them the
most. And believe us the answers were quite
surprising! Check out for yourself.
Pooja Ghai Rawal - My father
late Prem Ghai, who was secretary to actors
Sadashiv Amarpurkar and Aroona Irani is
my all time inspiration-cum-role model.
We had no relatives in Bombay, so it was
just my mom, dad and brother with whom I
bonded tight and shared everything with.
As far as my profession is concerned, I
have always looked up to the stunning diva,
Rekha. She has always conducted her professional
life with élan and has maintained
an unparalleled public image.
Amit Sadh - I am my own role
model, personally as well as professionally.
I believe that every individual is unique.
I don't want to be like anyone, not even
Amitabh Bacchan. Talking about inspiration,
anything that you come across in daily life
can be motivating, for e.g. a good human
being or a good film.
Snigada Akolkar - My masi
(aunt), Manda is my role model as she has
sacrificed a lot for us and she conducts
her life very gracefully. She is a pathologist
and has maintained a fine balance between
her work and family. Work wise, I look up
to Smita Patil as she was very spontaneous
and her body of work is remarkable.
Shital Thakkar- My inner voice
inspires me the most. The world can lie
but not your inner voice. Whenever I am
low in spirits I connect with my inner self.
I never have had any particular role model
as no person is absolutely perfect. But
I believe that every person has something
special about them, which I can imbibe.
I learn via observations and interactions
with people
Bakul Thacker - As an actor my
role model is Nasserudin Shah. The way he
handles his priorities is amazing. As a
motivational factor, President of India,
Dr. Abdul Kalam Azad inspires me the most.
His drive, desire and fire to achieve is
outstanding. In my personal life, I get
inspired by my late grandmother, who inspite
of being a widow, was a very positive woman
and influenced me in my formative years.
I feel fascinated by people who attain success
by sheer hard work and make a fortune out
of their vision.
