After
Deven Bhojani aka Gattu bhai , the producers
of the Star One weekly Ghost Bana Dost have
roped in two more cast members from Baa
Bahu Aur Baby to play pivotal characters
in one of the forthcoming episodes.
Rajesh Kumar and Ashiesh Roy will play
the owner and CEO of a television channel
respectively. The sinking TRPs of the duo's
show is saved by the protagonist Dabboo
and the friendly ghost Ni Ke, after many
dramatic twists and turns, of course.
"We had a blast shooting the episode
- the GBD team is very chilled out, Rajesh
and I are good friends, and we played our
pranks and improvisations and nutty moments
- great fun!" laughs Roy.
Ashiesh will soon be seen in another serial
with the same producers, which he is not
at liberty to talk about. "About three
more projects are at the negotiating stage.
I'm very excited about them all, since all
the roles I'm being offered are non-comic.
My portrayal of Sourav Ghosh in Aek Chabhi
Hai Padoss Mein has really made people sit
up and notice the serious side of me. And
it's very gratifying."
Roy is also elated about his translation
of the Warner Bros. animation feature Happy
Feet. "It's a beautiful film about
how marine farming is increasingly disturbing
the food chain of the penguins in Antarctica
- I simply had to write it! Stars like Robin
Williams, Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman, Elijah
Wood and Brittany Murphy have lent their
voice for the film."
