The
roly-poly, nose-twitching Punjabi kudi
Shanno of Shanno Ki Shaadi on Star Plus,
is simply unforgettable. So is Divya Dutta
who effortlessly portrayed a traditional
North Indian girl with a simple lifestyle
and high values.
She has gifted herself a brand new silver-coloured
Honda Civic car. Her previous car was a
Honda City of the same colour and now with
Civic, she loves to zoom around in the early
and late hours when the traffic is minimum.
"The only problem is to get a proper
parking space where the car can be safe,"
rues Dutta. The first place she drove the
beauty to, was to the Gurudwara and Siddhivinayak
temple.
She exults further about her latest acquisition,
"It's sheer luxury to drive it around.
It feels like you are sailing through the
streets. Though I have a driver, I personally
drive it when I go to catch up with friends.
The excellent music system is something
to rave about."
The actor is hooked to numerology and has
the registration of the vehicle adding up
to her lucky number 7.
Has Divya who is presently not seen on
the small screen, quit TV for good? "No,
I am not against doing television. I will,
if I am offered pivotal and interesting
roles," says the perky actress who
is busy with film assignments. "I have
just completed the Last Lear directed by
Riturparno Ghosh. Now I am shooting for
Love Game," informs Dutta.
Here's wishing Divya luck with more films
and 'her kind of' shows on TV today!
