Has it lost its significance?
In some ways it has but you can't blame the present generation. After all, most of them were not born during that period. Senior citizens still cherish this day.

Do we take our freedom for granted?
We (youth) have never experienced the nationalistic events. However, we do remember our heroes with the help of our history books.

India's biggest achievement in 60 years:
While the Britishers did suppress us, they also gave us a lot. For instance, they were the first to start trains. Thereafter, we've just built on it.

Biggest embarrassment:
Poverty. Not much is done to eradicate it.

New age national hero:
Atal Bihari Vajpayee and APJ Abdul Kalam.
