Manva
Naik, the Punjabi bahu Manjeet in Zee's Teen
Bahuraniyan is now back as Dimple Thakkar
in Star's Baa Bahoo Aur Baby where
she plays a modern, free-spirited daughter
of Arvind and Leela.
Here, Manva tells us on how she enjoys
playing both the diametrically opposite
characters in both the shows.
On why I took
a break…
I had taken a break from Baa Bahoo as
my character was not rolling out properly.
But now I have been promised that its going
to take a 360 degree turn for the better.
Dimple is very close to my heart.
She's a fashion designer who's very attached
to her family and cares a lot for Baby.
She falls in love with Anish, a rich Indian
NRI residing in America and now with my
entry the plot will thicken further.
On Teen Bahuraniyan…
I love playing this traditional-cum-modern
role of a young bahu Manjeet, who's a journalist
married to Mahesh. It's a very strong character
with all the unusual vibes in it. Since
Manjeet belongs to a different caste she
has to face a different set of problems
created by her mother-in-law (Nimisha).
Bollywood calling…
Currently, I am happy doing television but
would love to play interesting characters
in films. A lot of filmmakers have approached
me after watching me in Teen Bahuraniyan.
I have just signed on two films but right
now I am not in a position to reveal details
about the same.
