Sumeet Sachdev aka Gomzi from Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi is currently being seen in Sony's Khwaish. But very soon the cool dude will be breaking new ground by producing a short film.

"I am directing and producing a short film.My friend Ashutosh Jha is playing the lead role. The shooting is almost over and now we're working on the post production requirements. The untitled film will be released in October and we will probably showcase it at a film festival," reveals Sumeet

Elaborating on the basic storyline of the show, the actor says, "It is a simple story which unfolds when my lead character loses his cellphone. The idea came to me when about a year-and-a-half ago I lost my phone and was trying to get my contacts back,"says the suave looking actor.

While juggling two daily soaps,isn't it difficult to squeeze out time for the film. "It's very difficult but I'm trying my best. Depending on the shoots, I'm adjusting my time," he says.

Producing a film is definitely a step forward for this Delhi actor who came to Mumbai looking for work.

Reminiscing about his early days, Sumeet said, "I was doing theatre in Delhi but always aspired to be in television. But now film making is something new for me. It's a stepping stone to another world. I always had some unique ideas in my mind but never thought of filming them. With this film things are finally changing for the better," says Sumeet.
