Ashiesh Roy is all set to break his image of a comic actor. He has been into comedy for the past seven-eight years. He has now taken a U-turn. The actor is playing the role of a villain on Zee’s Chaldi Da Naam Gaddi after a long gap. He is going to play the character of a Bengali man named Das Gupta.

Ashiesh says, “I am very happy with the change. I was bored with the comedy roles that I was doing all the time. I wanted to do something serious and finally I got to play this character. My character is seriously sadistic. He creates problems for the family and loves doing so. I am included in the main cast and my role will grow by the mid of December,” he adds.

Earlier Ashiesh has played negative roles in serials like Banegi Apni Baat, Daayere and Remix. But after these serials he was only doing comedy serials.

As the actor makes the shift we do hope that audiences accept him in his new avatar.
