Money.
That's what drives everyone in the final
analysis, whether in the glamour world of
acting or the hard grind of scripting and
producing. Cashin' In sits down with TV
celebs to know well they handle their financial
matters, and tracks their spending patterns.
The
beautiful and gorgeous actress Twinkle Bajpai
of Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyan started
her career with “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge
2005.” Hailing from Lucknow Twinkle
claims she has no interest in money.
How important is money for you?
Money is not important to me. It is
third on my priority list. For me my family
is much important. Then comes music and
finally money. It is a fact that to live
in Mumbai, it's necessary to earn a good
amount. Moreover as a public figure it's
important for me to wear good clothes and
spend money on cars.
Where do you invest your money?
I've invested my money in a life insurance
policy because it gives me life security.
I don't like to invest in shares as I don’t
have a good knowledge about shares and stock
market. I spend most of my money on shopping.
Who takes care of your finances?
My C.A. takes cares of my all money because
I don’t have time to deal with money matters.
Most expensive thing you bought for
yourself?
I bought a Honda city. It cost me a
whopping Rs 9 lakhs. It was a great feeling
to buy an expensive thing with your own
money. Apart from it I bought a diamond
ring, which cost is 75k.
Do you feel financially secure?
Yes, I am very financially secure. My
father is a big businessman. He never made
me feel financially insecure.
What was the first thing that you bought
from your first salary?
I bought prasad from my first salary which
I offered God. I use to do Doordarshan recordings
in Lucknow. I was getting Rs.5000 per month
as salary and I gave it to my mom that day.
Word of caution.
Never carry your credit cards. It’s
too risky and always save money.
