The
headline does make for perfect breaking
news but this plot was carried out in all
good taste and humour. Sony's fun-filled
show Champion Chaalbaaz No.1 provides
an opportunity for one to play a prank on
a celebrity. Encashing this opportunity
was Narayani Shastri who played a deadly
prank on her good friend Amita Chandekar.
Amita says, "Narayani is my best friend
thus I never expected her to play such a
prank. We were travelling in a car when
all of sudden two guys stopped our vehicle
and barged into the car with knives in their
hands. They wanted to take us to Madh Island.
I was really petrified as to what they had
in their mind. It didn't' take me long to
break down."
She adds, "Sensing that things could
get really ugly, I called my brother. Obviously
I couldn't speak to him so I dropped the
phone hoping that he'll be able to gauge
the problem. I begged the kidnappers not
to take us to Madh Island (This was meant
to intimate my brother of our whereabouts).
It was at this point that Narayani burst
into laughter. Luckily, that call never
connected or else my brother would have
really panicked."
Could this affect their relationship? Mastermind
Narayani says, "No. Amita's too sweet
a person to get affected by this. She too
had a great laugh over it."
While this may not cause cracks in their
relationship, Amita has a word of advice
for her friend. Says she, "It's all
right to say that such a thing was carried
out in good taste and humour but one should
refrain from playing such ugly pranks."
So, can we expect Amita to reciprocate?
The lanky lass replies, "I'm not good
at playing pranks. In fact, I'm always at
the receiving end."
This surely comes as music to the ears
of all pranksters. Amita is ripe for the
pranking.
