Sid Makkar, better known as Satyakaam of Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan is back on television with the brand new show Mere Apne on 9X. He is going to essay the role of Shankar in the show.

Elaborating on the character he says, “I’m playing the character of a raw, rugged action- oriented guy, a spoilt brat of a son to Smriti Irani and Vinod Khanna. Besides that I also sport a new look, with a beard and long hair, unconventional in today's shows as we see.”

But from the looks of it, he seems to be very excited about the show, "I'm simply enjoying this sort of a role, as it is very uninhibited and something very different from what I have done so far. And the journey from Satyakam of Betiyan to Shankar of Mere Apne is one rollercoaster ride. The response also has been tremendous," says Sid.

‘Slow and steady wins the race’ it seems is Sid’s mantra.
