The orthodox doctrine, 'models can't act' has already been proved wrong by the saucy and sultry Nethra Raghuraman, with her sojourn in Bollywood (read Bhopal Express). She's also tried her luck at television, though not as an actor but as a host for shows, namely Jubilee Plus and Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai.

And now after almost a span of two years, this supermodel, once again, gets into the shoes of an anchor for a Bollywood centric show, B News on Zee Muzic. And sharing the screen space with her over the filmi gyaan will be actor cum pop singer Vikas Bhalla.

Nethra sheds light about her new project by saying, "I get to talk about Bollywood related news. The script of the show is fantastic. Besides I got along famously with Vikas right from day one. The production house is good and the channel is family to me. My Hindi is good so I don't have to worry much about my anchoring." Yes yes, with a hubby like Ash Chandler, who's got a gift of gab, who needs to worry?

By taking up this show, is she flashing a green signal for prospective TV offers? "Since a long time, I have been with those typical saas-bahu offers but I am just not interested in them! Also the dailies have inhuman work timings and I value my time way too much to slog it out here. I am game at hosting more shows and might look at doing fiction only if it requires 10-15 days in a month. It should not get monotonous," points out Nethra, who stresses that she'll continue modeling even if she chooses to take to up hardcore television in the near future.
