Shruti's
expecting her baby! |
|
We called up Shruti Ulfat,
the actor who rose to limelight
as the star anchor on Star Plus's
Chalti Ka Naam Antakshari,
to find out what's keeping her
busy these days.
The chirpy and petite actor
who had taken a pregnant pause
in her career is currently in
Dehradun. On a rather happy
note, she said, " I am
having a ball of a time in the
valleys of Dehradun. I am now
in the seventh month of my pregnancy
and expecting the baby by the
end of March..I have enjoyed
every bit of my stay in Dehradun
and am eagerly awaiting the
arrival of our new family member."
Incidentally, years back it
was in Dehrudun that Shruti
Ulfat had met her hubby Alok.
Taking a jog down memory lane,
she says, "I had come here
for a theatre workshop along
with Alok, and we fell in love."
Now, with Dehradun again in
the backdrop, happiness is awaiting
a new companion in Shruti's
family. What a pleasant coincidence
Shruti?

| Pushtie's
time out in Goa!! |
|
Remember Pushtie, the cute
actor from Kareena Kareena
and second season of Hum
Paanch. The actor whose
better known as Vrajesh Hirjee's
little sister has been out of
the TV circuit for a long time.
Reason being the Pushtie has
been in Goa trying to heal people
with Reiki and crystal therapy
besides also trying to shed
weight.
"I've been meditating
and taking care of my health.
Also healing people with the
therapies is helping me use
all my energy for the same.
I am planning to be in Goa till
April and continue with this.
Soon I'd be coming out with
my website also," chirps
Pushtie who has been in Goa
and Pune for the past few months.
So there's still time before
she comes back to the city of
dreams and gets on with some
serious acting!

Kushal's ready to scare! |
|
After doing itsy bitsy roles
on television (Yeh Dil Chahe
More and many more) and
films, model cum actor Kushal
Punjabi is all set to return
to the small screen.
The show in question is an
episodic for Star One's thriller,
Shhh Phir Koi Hai, to
be aired on 9 February, where
he plays a devil warrior who
comes to life after every 2000
years.
"In the show, my dead
body is kept inside a pyramid
which emerges and is traced
by a team of archaeologists.
It was a one episode role and
was too tempting to refuse.
I like to do such stuff because
it allows me to test new grounds
which are away from the glitz
of modelling world. I am looking
forward to more episodics in
future too," says Kushal,
once a winner of Best Physique
at the Gladrags..
If one goes by this telly hunk's
Bollywood profile, he has mostly
featured in spooky films like
Shhhhh and Kaal.
So can we make an assumption
that it's Kushal's forte at
this genre that draws him to
such projects?

| Surinder's
spreading spirituality! |
|
Surinder Kaur of Jassi
Jaisi Koi Nahi fame is a
motherly and spiritual figure
to maybe a dozen actors from
the telly land. The actor has
been preaching Buddhism, as
a way of life for the past fourteen
years and has introduced the
positive way of life to a host
of actors in the past.
"I've introduced Buddhism
to many people and it has become
a way of life for many. It gives
me a great sense of fulfillment,
joy and contentment to do so.
Also, it makes me feel like
I've contributed to someone's
life. Today, actors tend to
have job insecurity, along with
work pressure and immense financial
problems," points out the
elegant lady (currently seen
in Banoo Mein Teri Dulhan)
who has introduced Chandana
Sharma, Gracy Singh, Sveta Keswani,
Shweta Kawatra and Tisca Chopra
to the world of positivity and
Buddhism.
Here's hoping Surinder continues
to provide her words of wisdom
to the most insecured and helpless
telly brigade.
