If
you think Mansi Salvi is still basking in
the glory of Sati or taking a break,
think again. The talented actor, is , in
fact getting ready for her second innings
as a lead actress. Mansi has just signed
Asambhav, a daily soap on Zee Marathi
which is being produced by
Mansi
Salvi: Playing protagonist to perfection!
|
Pallavi Joshi. The half hour daily prime
time show goes on air from 12 February and
will be directed by Shyam Malekar.
"I play the main protagonist, Shubra
who is very strong and level headed. It's
a unique concept and not a typical saas-bahu
saga. Rather it's about a girl's relationship
with her husband as she adjusts to her new
family and the turn of events which occur
after her marriage," says Mansi who
is working with the channel after a gap
of three years (earlier had worked in Nupur
for which she won the best actor award).
So what made the actor take up Asambhav
and go regional where there is immense creative
satisfaction but half the remuneration.
" I took up the show as the money worked
out was decent enough and working with Pallaviji
is an absolute delight. I find her extremely
down to earth and understanding. Besides,
after working for a daily soap and having
gruelling work schedules working for Asambhav
is pretty comfortable as I have to devote
twelve days in a month and can easily get
time for myself and my family. It's a pleasure
working in ones mother tongue with all the
veteran Marathi actors around," points
out Mansi who is shooting in Madh Island
for the show. Also, rumours have it that
the actor wants to start a family this year
so plans to cut down on hectic work schedules.
Here's hoping Mansi gets enough opportunites
to vent her talent the right way besides
getting enough time to spend with her folks
as well.
