Kyunki
Joydeep will get a makeover! |
|
Actor Manav Vij, whose claim
to fame is the nerdish act of
Joydeep in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi
Bahu Thi, has big things in
store for him as far as his
characterization goes.
Made to look like a Jassi counterpart,
Joydeep's role started of on
a humdrum note but later picked
up when the track focused on
his circumstantial marriage
to Bhumi, who loves to hate
him.
And now banking on this footage,
Balaji head honcho is leaving
no stone unturned to make her
big ticket show, all the more
spicier. First, it will be re-entry
of Mandira from the gallons
and later as our sources say,
Joydeep gets a makeover ala
Jassi! From an awkward ugly
duckling he metamorphoses into
a handsome man sans his spectacles.
Doctor turned actor, Joydeep
will definitely make hay while
the sun shines on him. But we
all remember Jassi's fate post
makeover…a drastic fall in TRPs.
So will this strategy work in
favour of Joydeep?

Rajeev Paul's branding lessons! |
|
When we called up Rajeev Paul
to find out what's happening
in his life, we figured out
that the actor is busy taking
a few lessons in understanding
brands these days. It came out
that Rajeev is a regular visitor
to Jai-Hind and HR Colleges
these days.
Says the actor, "I am
trying to get feedback from
marketing students about building
brands. I think being an actor
is also about being a brand.
Though, a lot of actors depend
on their character's brand,
I would like the actor in me
to become the brand. For that
to happen, the feedback of people
who study brands makes a lot
of sense."
Great Rajeev, we appreciate
the efforts you are taking in
building a brand as an actor
and of course who can forget
your recent `circuit act' in
Nach Baliye 2. But, we
just wonder how would you do
justice to the feedback without
much work in hand? Any takers?

| Nattasha
Rana's connection with SRK? |
|
Nattasha Rana, the low profile
actress who is currently seen
in Zee's Ghar Ki Laxmi Betiyaan
rose to fame as Pam Mallya,
Rudra' s ( played by Nikhil
Arya) mother in Star's afternoon
daily Kesar. But not many know
that Nattasha started her TV
career with a show called Doosra
Kewal directed by Lekh Tandon,
in which her co-star was none
other than today's king Shahrukh
Khan.
Doosra Kewal was SRK's third
show after Fauji and Circus
where Nattasha played his sister.
Not just this, but she later
did a telefilm with SRK called
Aakhen for DD1. Here, he essayed
the role of a blind man and
she was his love interest as
a nurse.
Somehow, over the years Shahrukh
has struck gold, and Natassha
couldn't really create a splash?
But we're deadsure if both had
to ever cross paths again, King
Khan who is known to be a very
humble star will definitely
acknowledge his former costar.

bed ridden with Typhoid
for well past three weeks
while Archana recently

"I took a break for
two months and God put
me on complete bed rest
for a long time so thankfully
my work didn't suffer.
Now I am back on my toes
and looking out for work"
smiles Parmeet who is
looking brighter than
before.
But not many people know
that about two months
