It's
again time to choose the corporator of your
area in the up-coming mucipal polls. Pressing
issues like bad roads, poor drainage, parking
space and a host of such problems that rattle
in our minds can be solved if we come out
and vote for the right candidate. With the
ballot war nearing its D day, we ask our
TV celebs about their participation in the
elections and the issues that motivate them
to vote.
Hiten Tejwani
I won't be voting as I would be busy shooting
that day. The fact is that I don' have an
idea about the candidate who is contesting
from my area. So, it will be just another
day at work.
Kanchi Kaul
Yes, I intend to vote for the up-coming
municipal elections this time. I stay in
Lokhandwala and the area sans basic amenities.
Choosing the right candidate is the only
solution to put an end to such problems.
Eijaz Khan
I guess I will vote on that day. Though
the fact is that polling is a process that
allows you to choose the best among the
worst. I will put my vote for the candidate
who seems keener on delivering results than
political speeches.
Ashok Saraf
I will be definitely voting in the elections.
Actually I do so regularly and that's not
something new for me at all. There are many
issues that I strongly feel about and which
motivate me to go out and vote. But, then
it is the same story. We are promised improved
roads and better civic facilities but then
in the end it remains just a promise. I
pray for things to be different this time
ate least.
