Here's
one play that many would want to watch out
of curiosity for the title of the play.
Knotty Affair written, produced and
directed by Vandana Sajnani has actors like
Rajesh Khattar, Nasir, Karishma Tanna, Naved
Aslam, Hilla Sethna and Vandana herself.
The situational comedy revolves around the
confusions in the lives of two married couple.

"I am enjoying myself thoroughly as
it's an interesting and fun play about four
people who are knotted in relationships
and funnily they are all opposite each other.
The reason I took up the play is because
it provides for a nice creative outlet and
it's not monotonous work like television,"
points out Nasir who is currently also anchoring
Bollywood Dhamal on Set Max and is
planning to direct a film in the near future.
For Karishma Tanna who is busy doing two
shows on television, this is her second
brush with theatre.
"It's an out an out comedy and I play
a modern, smart chic who knows how to play
her cards well. I play Lila, who divorces
her husband and gets married to an older
colonel officer. She lies to her second
husband about being a widow and how the
confusions lead to a lot of comedy,"
smiles Karishma who is also doing Ek
Ladki Anjani Si and is all praise for
Vandana Sajnani with whom she did her first
play as well (The Perfect Wedding).

The director, producer and writer of the
show Vandana has taken inspiration from
many fiction books she has got her hands
on in the recent past.
"It's a comedy of errors about a Colonel
(played by Rajesh Khattar) and his young
wife (Karishma Tanna) when they start living
together and how the confusions, situations,
chaos and errors unfold. Both Karishma and
Nasir with whom I've worked earlier are
a riot together, very punctual, dedicated
and professional to the core," says
Vandana for who Knotty Affaair is
her fifth production. The multi faceted
actor is all set to tie the knot with fellow
actor Rajesh Khattar by the end of this
year.
The actors are busy rehearsing for the play
for now and will be ready to stage the play
in February (in Delhi and Mumbai).
