Ravi
Kishen Shukla, the Amitabh Bachchan of Bhojpuri
film industry, is relieved and relaxed to
be out of Big Boss den. Presently holidaying
in the romantic hills of Mahabaleshwar with
wife Preeti and kids, he is floored with
offers from the Bhojpuri and Hindi film
industry. He has signed on Ekta Kapoor's
Bhojpuri film titled Gabbar Singh
where Ravi is playing the lead with Jeetendra
as Thakur. This film is pitted against Ram
Gopal Verma's version of Sholay where Amitabh
plays Gabbar Singh.
Confirming this, Ravi says, "Once I
get back to Mumbai, I will be signing Bollywood
films from two big banners. Now I will restrict
the number of movies I sign."
Talking about Shilpa Shetty's victory in
the UK counterpart Big Brother, Ravi
expresses his best wishes to her and says,
"I am very happy for Shilpa. She has
done India proud."
But was he disillusioned on his eviction?
Let's find out:
"Rahul's win is like
my very own success. We were two mature
people in the house and our thoughts matched.
I have come up from scratch and am not hurt
because I did not win."
Why, does he think, he was evicted in the
last round, when all along his Bhojpuri
fans wanted him to be in the house?
"I don't know myself," says the
perplexed star. He feels that his fans might
have got confused when there were three
participants left and would have voted for
Ravi thinking that he who gets the maximum
number of votes, becomes the winner.

Speaking on his stay in
the house, the Jaunpur-born actor reveals,
"I was used to peace, music and a luxurious
lifestyle as a superstar. The initial days
were boring and frustrating. I was aggressive
but eventually I calmed down, started praying
to Lord Shiva and worked out like mad. I
took out my aggression on the treadmill.
Later I started entertaining myself by playing
pranks, by laughing. I scripted plays and
skits and I started enjoying the place.
I believe my lines like 'zindagi chandva
phir bhi gamandva' became the slogan
of the nation."
What were the most difficult tasks in the
Bigg Boss house?
The hounds in the complex used to bark early
in the morning which was very irritating.
I hated washing vessels and missed my kids
badly," rues the actor.
And now Ravi is also keen
to go home after his holiday and keep up
his promise of giving a toe and head massage
to his wife Preeti and prepare adrak
chai and cook pau bhaji for his
daughters Reva, Tanishq and Ishita. About
nursing bad blood for the co-contestants
who had spoken ill about him in the show,
which the entire nation watched, he says,
"I will definitely confront the person
who spoke badly about me because I believe
in clearing things before forgiving them.
I heard Aryan said nasty things about me
but will forgive him."
 |
So, any lessons from the stay in the BB
house?"
Lots of patience and forgiveness is what
I have learnt. I have got rid of my ego.
I have come above all the accusations of
a Casanova image of having affairs. Let
people talk."
As for his popularity, Ravi has already
got three Hindi film offers and he now wants
to shift his focus to doing Bollywood movies
as he says, "I will do three Hindi
movies and five Bhojpuri films a year."
On taking part in reality shows in the future,
Ravi is very clear when he says, "I
will never take part in any reality show
again. It was like a five star prison and
I would not like to repeat the experience."
We guess this expresses his disillusionment!
