What do Mona Singh and upcoming film actress Sherlyn Chopra have in common? Well, the former donned makeup to become ugly to essay the role of Ugly Betty or Jassi as she was called in the Sony Entertainment show. And the latter has admitted that she naturally looked like Ugly Betty in real life as a youngster.

Hear out the actress who is playing the lead in Raj Kanwar's 'Raqeeb - Rivals in Love - in her own words. "I was an ugly duckling as a teenager," she admits. "At fifteen, I would wear thick reading glasses and spend all my time immersed in books. Most of my friends found me boring. Glamour was nowhere on my mind. I was almost like a Jassi."

And she even underwent a makeover to start looking pretty. But it did not receive the media hype like Mona's transformation received. She also went on to win the Miss Andhra crown. When asked, how it feels to have had such a huge metamorphosis, the damsel says, "Today, I've become a fantasy for my childhood friends. It feels surreal!"
