Shakespeare
quoted, 'What's in a name?' On the contrary,
not only does an individual's name hold
immense significance in his/her life, even
their nick name plays a similar role.
Let's find out the pet names of some of
our TV stars. And believe us their responses
were equally unique!!!
Sachin Verma
Pet name: Sunny. I loved Beetab
and Sohni Mahiwal in which my favourite
hero Sunny Deol featured. So I preferred
being called Sunny. Following the trend
set by me, my real sister was called Hunny
and my cousin as Munny!
Anuj Saxena
Pet name: I don't have any pet name as everyone
at home and relatives call me Anuj, which
is short and sweet. But in my company, Elder
Pharmaceuticals I am addressed as Dr. as
I joined my business after doing my MBBS.
Gaurav Chopraa
Pet name: Gorru. My masi (maternal aunt)
gave me this name as I was very fair. During
my childhood days I used to play a lot in
the sun and as a result I got tanned. When
my masi saw me her instant reaction was,
'mera Gorru kala kaise ho gaya?' (How come
my Gorru has turned so dark?) Ironically
I have benefited by not being light-skinned
as people find me tall, dark and handsome.
Anoop Soni
Pet name: Anu. My family has been calling
me Anu since childhood. I have a very funny
incident to tell you. Once my relative called
out for me as 'Anu bhaiyya' and a girl standing
in my vicinity turned back - her real name
was Anu. She was wondering who's calling
her bhaiyya! That's a problem with a unisex
pet name like mine.
Amit Verma
Pet name: I don't have a pet name as Amit
is already too short a name. But my online
fans with whom I interact prefer to call
me A .V.
Arjun Bijlani
Pet name: Jun. My cousin started calling
me Jun and others started doing the same
Moon
Pet name: Bua. My father calls me by this
nick name since childhood and I like it.
Sajnee Shrivastava
Pet name: Rosy. My grand mom chose this
nick name for me. If today if someone cals
out for Rosy on the roads, I respond to
it.
