Chhavi wedding blues: The actor bruised
herself during a wedding sequence |
 |
Getting married can be a tough thing,
be it in real life or reel life !!
Chhavi Mittal aka Nikki of Viraasat
tells us why. Like they say, just
going through the whole ceremony is
a task in itself. Chhavi had quite
an experience of that recently when
shooting for her wedding sequence
in the show where she is seen marrying
Aman Varma.
She bruised herself with the heavy
trousseau she had donned, loaded with
Zardosi, embroidery and heavy jewellry
to complement that.
"I have got some rashes on my
skin especially my stomach, neck and
arms, where the outfit clung to me.
The zardosi work on the dress was
coarse and has left its mark; the
jewelry too was very heavy and bruised
my neck severely. To top it all the
entire sequence was shot over five
five days where I had to wear the
same dress which added to the injury,"
says Chhavi.
Meanwhile, this week the serial takes
a sudden twist where Chhavi will be
getting married to her brother in
law in the serial, essayed by Aman
Verma. From here on the show is all
set to move in a different direction.
Well, isn't marriage all about that!

Turkey darshan by default |
|
Jay Bhanushali and the Kayamat gang
is just back from Turkey. When the
tellychakkar team called them up,
the starcast had some interesting
incidents to share with us.
Chucking aloud, Jay says, "When
we took a taxi, the driver took us
the wrong way and eventually we left
it midway. Even the taxi driver couldn't
figure out the hotel, and we kept
going round and round in circles to
find our way to the hotel. Since,
we failed to communicate in the local
language, the taxi driver too gave
up on us and left us stranded."
Unable to find another taxi, they
somehow managed to find a police who
guided them to a nearby police station.
But somehow, even this didn't help
as even they didn't know about the
hotel.
Adds Panchi, "This continued
for quite sometime. Our hotel was
just at a distance of 15-20 minutes
but it took us hours to get there.
Though it was scary and tiring, but
by the end of it, we were giggling
through the sign language."
Well, we think it was `Turkey Darshan'
by default for them, which otherwise
wouldn't have been possible considering
their busy schedule

I will walk and talk English |
|
Pallavi Subhash aka Gauri of Karam
Apnaa Apnaa fame has become a
household name with her convincing
act in this Balaji daily. A versatile
artist - be it acting or dancing skills
(as was seen in the recent Star Parivaar
awards), these days she is trying
to polish her conversational abilities,
her angrezi we mean.
Our khabru on the sets found Pallavi
making attempts to speak in English
with her co-stars and even with visitors
who approach her. Good hands on practice.
If Bollywood has Kangana Ranaut brushing
up her angrezi, Tellywood too does
have Pallavi. Let's see who becomes
a pro first

Mona masi jaise koi nahin |
|
After a successful run in Jassi
Jaise Koi Nahin and winning in
Sony's reality dance show, Mona Singh
has expressed her interest in experimenting
with different things. So what's next
on Mona's agenda -Music Videos! Here
too she is experimenting with various
genres.
While on one side she has appeared
in a soulful sweet ballad sung by
India's melody queen Lata Mangeshkar,
she will soon be seen in a whole new
cool avatar in the Nick Fundoo Superstar
Music Video where she will be joined
on screen by 4 Fundoo Superstar Kids
and Nick toon star Spongebob SquarePants.
But there is another reason as to
why she took on this project besides
the fact that she adores kids. Her
4 year old nephew is a huge fan of
Nick and watches the channel regularly
with his masi whenever she's at home.
So as a gift to her beloved nephew
who would love to see masi dance with
his favorite cartoon character Spongebob
Squarepants, Mona instantly agreed
to feature in the music video

Amar Upadhyay: An animal lover! |
|
We saw actor Amar Upadhyay feeding
stray dogs at wee hours in the morning.
Apparently this is his regular routine
on his morning walk; he feeds packets
of Tiger biscuits to dogs that have
no shelter in the Seven Bungalow area.
On his career front, Amar, who's
busy with Star One's Viraasat,
has moved his focus from Bollywood
to Bhojpuri Cinema, not to act but
to produce. He has set up a production
house called Friday Films,
where he is all set to make a remake
of a Marathi film Devki

Poonam is the Perfect Wife |
|
Poonam Dhillon's play Perfect Wife
opens today! Thursday night saw her
throw a special show for select media
and guests. The play was attended
by actors from the Hindi theatre,
Television and the film industry.
Amongst the crowd what caught our
eye was the very noisy Pooja Bedi
with arm candy Hanif. Pooja compensated
for his silence with all the chatter
and a series of loud laughs. Luckily,
as she knew most of the audience,
she was pardoned for the all the possible
disturbance caused.
TV stars as usual can now be seen
at every do, so we witnessed Kyunki
actor Jiten Lalwani, Traffic Signal
actress Neetu Chandra, actor Pawan
Shankar who was last seen in Kasam
Se, with a theatre regular Ashish
Roy.
Theatre counterpart and close friend
Padmini Kolhapure also made an appearance
with old friends like Smita Jaykar,
and actress Shabana Azmi who came
along to cheer for Poonam. We saw
numerologist Sanjay Jumani with his
family for the play. The first row
was booked for her kids and a special
someone who seemed to take good care
of them… apparently the man is rumoured
to be Poonam's 'good friend' from
Dubai.
The Play's motif was identical to
her former attempt The Perfect
Husband. The Perfect Wife however
dealt with a woman's multi tasking
abilities as a home-maker and a professional.
Poonam who was very courteous with
her guests urged everyone to spread
the good word if they liked the play…
Here is our way of doing it: we at
Tellychakkar urge you to go watch
Poonam Dhillon in a special avatar
as The Perfect Wife!

Manava Naik continues to shoot in spite of
her viral fever |
|
IManava Naik, who plays a Punjabi
Kudi Manjeet in Zee's Teen Bahuraniyan
has proved herself to be a true professional.
The past few days have been not so
good for her after taking to severe
viral and high temperature.
Manava has been advised by the doctor
to take the much needed rest for her
speedy recovery. But the girl is out
shooting and says, "I have my
commitments and it is not fair that
the production of the serial suffer
in any way because of me. The producers
are very understanding and I was off
work for sometime but kept feeling
guilty and reported to work when I
felt a little better."
Apparently the whole team is busy
looking after the sick dame, so much
so that her director even does Reiki
for her on the sets.
Well, Manava enjoy the attention while
it lasts!

Mummy's Boy: Vikas aka Hooda develops cold
feet in front of his mother |
|
It's the typical case of reel life
being a replica of reel life! While
he may be having the reputation of
a bad temper, Hooda aka Vikas Manaktala
from SAB's Left Right Left
develops cold feet in front of his
mother. Ironical as it may be, his
character Hooda in Left Right Left
is a mirror image of him when it comes
to his relation with his mom.
Vikas's mother has come all the way
to Mumbai from Delhi to be with her
dear son and one can see a visibly
scared Vikas these days. So much so,
that if his mother is on the sets
Vikas makes it a point to be at his
best behavior. Guess, Mummy Manaktala
should think of shifting base to Mumbai
to tone down the ever swinging moods
of her son!
