Bollywood's
genius actor Paresh Rawal is now returning
to the small screen as a producer, after
a hiatus of two years (earlier he had churned
out Sahara One shows, Shubh Mangal Savdhan
and Bhagwan Bachaye Inko).
The show in question this time around is
Teen Bahuraaniyaan which Paresh and
his wife Swaroop Sampat are presenting under
Playtime Creations for Zee TV. This
prime time daily, with Gujarat backdrop,
is a tale of the varied interests of three
bahus from extremely different backgrounds
and upbringing who live under one roof.
Speaking on the launch, Ashvini Yardi,
Programming Head, Zee TV said, "We
always tackle extremely topical and relevant
subjects in our show. Be it Saloni from
Saat Phere, Vidya from Dulhann
or Lakshmi from Betiyann, the
protagonists have a 'purpose', a raison
d'etre. This new serial will also deal
with the ever-prevalent subject of a new
daughter in laws entry in a household that
is different from the one she has been brought
up in. We all will be able to identify with
this theme."
With this tele-drama, we hope that Paresh,
(who is an ace comic actor) provides the
TV audience a much needed relief from the
everyday clutter on screen, by presenting
this bahu-saga 'differently'!
